THE GREATEST GATEWAY, INSPIRED BY THE MOVIE "THE GREATEST SHOWMAN" raised $4.1 million at the annual CURES gala, recently held at Sheraton Grand Chicago. "Under the Big Top" actress and comedienne Melissa Peterman emceed, with a celebrity line-up that included Jonathan Cullen ("The Book of Mormon"), R & B music legend Brian McKnight and a five-piece acoustic party band, The London Essentials. THE 6TH ANNUAL HEALTHY DRIVEN NAPERVILLE HALF MARATHON & 5K, sponsored by Edward-Elmhurst Health, took over the streets of Naperville on a crisp fall morning in late October. About 3,200 runners completed the races, including 800 who ran for area charitable organizations. Colin Mickow of Naperville was the winner of the half marathon with a time of 1:07:50, while Erika Edmonson of Riverside took the women’s division, clocking 1:23:59. Bernard Henry of Aurora, crossed the finish line first in the 5K with a time of 19:03 and Isabella Orozco, age 14, of Aurora, was the women’s 5K winner with a time of 21:30. Photo: Colin Mickow, 28, of Naperville was the overall winner of the half marathon.
